Three-Day Workshop on ‘Exploring Open Source Software for Library Management’ March 25-27, 2026
The
Central Library of BLDEA’s Vachana Pitamaha Dr.P.G.Halakatti College of
Engineering and Technology, Vijayapur, is organizing
a three-day workshop on ‘Exploring Open Source Software for Library
Management.’ The workshop is sponsored by the Indian Society for Technical
Education, Karnataka and in collaboration with VTU Consortium, Belagavi. The
workshop will be held from March 25-27, 2026, at our Institute.
The workshop will help library professionals manage library operations using KOHA-ILMS and DSpace. It will introduce participants to open-source library management software and give hands-on training in key tasks. We will show ways to streamline workflows. Participants will build practical skills and learn to better organize library resources and services.

required to bring their own laptops/ for the intensive Hands-on
Training sessions.
